Alice Katherine Hornung, 90, of Valatie, passed away on April 5, 2024 at the Pinehaven Nursing Home in Philmont, NY. Born on July 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frederick John and May (Silvernail) Hornung.

Before her retirement, Alice was a Registered Nurse for the Columbia Memorial Hospital for 30 years.

She was an active member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Valatie, the Business and Professional Women's Foundation in Hudson, the Trippers, the Red Hatters and the Fortknightly Club. Alice also enjoyed volunteering at the Mac-Haydn Theater in Chatham.

She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Knight of Chatham and Mary (Rex) Bryce of Troy; her nieces and nephews, Deborah (Tad) Holtz, Diane (David Angel) Bryce, Danielle (Scott) Smith, John (Linda) Knight, Elizabeth (Jay) Guetersloh and Edward Knight. Great nieces and nephews also survive her.

Calling Hours from 11-1 PM, Friday, April 12, 2024 with Alice's funeral to begin at 1PM will be at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Valatie. Burial will follow at the Ghent Union Cemetery.
