William (Bill) Hamm Jr., 60, of Philmont, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 7, 2023, in his home. Bill was born April 8, 1963, in Hudson, NY, to Gladys and William Hamm Sr. He attended high school at Ichabod Crane and then went on to trade school for welding. Bill worked as a welder for the Millwright Union and later for Amtrak. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Vision Christian Bible College. Bill married the love of his life, Rebecca, and recently celebrated 35 years of marriage. He cherished quality time with family, especially camping and beach vacations. He loved spending time with his grandkids, gardening, playing games, and having movie nights. Some of his many hobbies included fishing, hunting, and woodworking. He was a member of Rock Solid Church in Hudson, NY, and served faithfully in several ministries such as the children's ministry, Celebrate Recovery, cafe, and jail ministry. He is survived by his spouse, Rebecca Hamm; children - Eric Hamm, Jeremy (Cathleen) Hamm, Christa (Nick) Farruggio, Elizabeth (Darren) Hamm; five grandchildren; brothers - Brian (Lisa) Hamm, Chris (Diane) Hamm, Edward (Lynn) Hamm; dog - Jagger. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and William Hamm Sr. Memorial donations may be made to Rock Solid Church's Generation Next, a children's ministry. The mailing address for donations is PO BOX 424, Hudson, NY, 12534. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Community Hospice and Rock Solid Church for their love and support during these difficult times. Calling hours will be held at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, from 4:00-5:30 PM. A memorial service will follow at 5:30 PM
