Kathleen Ruth (Dalton ) Stever, 74, of Valatie, NY, passed away on November 28, 2023, at Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, NY. Born in Long Island to Thomas and Doris Dalton on August 21,1949. Kate attended Massapequa High School and graduated in 1967. Married Dennis Quigley and became a mother in 1969 to her son, Shannon Dennis Quigley. She worked on an apple farm and then became a bus driver for Ichabod Central School in Valatie NY. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Neil Stever of Valatie; her children, Shannon (Machele) Quigley, Robin Stever (Brian McDonald), Michelle Stever (Scott McDonald), Shaun Stever (Jessica Longley); her grandchildren, Matthew, Mckenna, Danielle, Dylan, Billy, Victoriana, Jake, Brady and Zeke; her great grandchild, Aurora; her niece, Jennifer Pierce and her children, Nathan Lee and Emily Jo; niece, Jessica Poorman; nephew, Kenny Poorman and her cousins, Fran and Judy. Besides her parents, Kate is also predeceased by her sisters, Doreen Patricia, Maryann, Eileen, Maureen Veronica, her brothers, Kevin Richard , Dennis Michael, Thomas Jr. and her cousins, Lynn, Patrick, and Jeff. The funeral service will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook St, Valatie, NY 12184 on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:30 AM with Rev. Steve Matthews officiating. Calling hours will be from 9:30 – 11:30 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Rt. 203 in Valatie. Following the cemetery service, a celebration of life will be held at Four Brothers, Valatie, NY from 1:00-3:00 PM.
