Dear Lynn,
To you and all your family, our thoughts and prayers are for all. We have such wonderful memories of Barbara over the years as Mom’s best friend, as a friend to us, at Dimpy’s, and we so enjoyed seeing her whenever we visited Kinderhook.
We have kept in touch, and even last Christmas her card was one of the ones we saved.
Our sympathy to you all. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.
Fondly,
Bill and Connie Bailey

Barbara and Frank attended every one of the reunions of Chatham Central’s Class of 1965. Frank was our class advisor and supporter until his death, whereupon Barbara continued to fill his role at our dinners. She was a welcome fixture, and everyone looked forward to seeing one of their favorite teachers at each gathering. Our reunions won’t be the same without her, but she will continue to live on in our hearts and memories.
Thank you for your dedication to the education of so many young minds.

My deepest condolences to Barbara‘s family. I am sorry I am not able to be there for her celebration of life as I am Ireland. I’ve had the privilege over the years of working with Barbara on many activities and functions at KRC and serving with her on consistory. My most favorite memories of her are in the church kitchen when we started the first Friday dinners. Barbara was ever faithful to her friends and the community. She was patient , kind, caring, and diplomatic. She was a Grand lady as they would say here in Ireland. I will miss her .

Mrs. Vosburgh, as she was forever known to me, was not my teacher, nor was her late husband. Mr. Vosburgh, was, however, our class advisor and a friend to those students in need. I was a foster child in the 1960’s in Chatham, and both Frank and Barbara took me under their wing. They opened up their home and hearts to me, and helped me through the process of applying to colleges and for scholarships. Barbara taught me how to use tableware in a formal setting and always patiently awaited while I decided which fork was appropriate. It may sound trivial, but to me, her example was one of the many kindnesses she bestowed upon me. I will remember her as a kind, gentle role model. Thank you, Mrs. Vosburgh..

One of my all time favorite women! I will miss you Barbara! You were so lovely in all you did and we are grateful for you. God Bless Barbara.
Piano teacher for all my 4 children and my husband who was taking lessons just days before she passed. We loved her ever steady ways in music and in life.
