Olga Hawryluk, 91, of Stuyvesant, NY, passed away peacefully with her son at her side on Friday, February 24, 2023. Born in Ukraine on March 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Maria Witiuk and the wife of the late Bohdan Hawryluk. She is survived by her children, Vera (Joseph) Baco of Allons, Tennesse and Basil Hawryluk of Stuyvesant; her sister-in-law, Oxana Witiuk of Astoria; her grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas and Jillian Baco; her great grandchildren, Olivia, Katelyn and Emily Baco and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Olga is also predeceased by her siblings, Ivan, Myron and Bohdan Witiuk and Iwanka Kozuipa. A calling hour will be Friday, March 3 from 9-10AM at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie. A funeral liturgy will follow at 11 AM at the Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church of Hudson, 206 Union Street, Hudson, NY 12534 with the very Rev. Canon Zbigniew Brzezicki officiating A graveside service will take place at 2 PM at the Holy Spirit Cemetery, 141 Sarah Wells Trails, Campbell Hall, NY. Contributions in Olga's name may be made to a foundation geared toward the children in Ukraine who are directly affected by the war. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
