Q: What will you never forget about Olga? A: I'll always remember my Babcha having fresh cookies, donuts and bakery items ready for us when we visited. She also always made the best pedaheh and Holubtsi. Her love and kindness is something ill never forget. Her selfless acts to ensure every one else was ok or had what they needed will always remain in my heart and mind. I will always cherish these memories of my beloved Babcha. Love always, Thomas

My dear Godmother aunt Olha. Thank you for babysitting me for a whole year when you were 18 when we first arrived as immigrants to New York City in 1949 from the DP camp in Germany. You and your mama (my babcha) babysat me, age 1, and my brother Petro, age 3 while our mother spent a year in the hospital and our tato (father) was out working. Over the years I remember you as always kind, always busy, a dynamo, cooking, cleaning, arranging, taking care of, making everyone comfortable around you and always in a good humor. My Mom, the most loving, caring, beautiful, unselfish individual loved by everyone. She always put everyone else ahead of her own self. No matter what the situations arose. She helped everyone, never held any grudges or dislikes towards people. She was a devout Christian, always praying for everyone to be healthy and safe. I spoke with her every single day over the telephone since we lived miles apart. I’m so blessed to have visited her and spent two entire days holding her, speaking with her prior to her severe stroke. Bringing her home with my husband,Joe, from Rehab Center and taking care of all her personal needs. However, her passing is a Celebration of Life. May she sleep in eternal peace within her Savior’s arms. Thank you Mom. Miss you. Love ❤️ you forever within our hearts. Vera and Joe
