Obituary of Saundra L. Coon

Saundra Lee (Cookie) Coon, 77, of Stuyvesant Falls, NY, passed away on May 9th, 2020, surrounded by her children. Cookie was born in Hudson, NY to Randall and Irene (Mieske) Friss on August 23rd, 1942. She was a CNA at Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie and worked in private health care for many years. Cookie is survived by her four children; Sons David (Lori) of Colonie, NY, and Jeffrey Coon of Stuyvesant Falls, NY, and her daughters Terri (David) Poulter of Tampa, FL, and Pamela (Dominic) of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren, our father Harold Coon of Valatie, NY, her brother Randall Friss of Maine and sister Vicki Tuczynski of Stuyvesant, NY along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her step-father, Stanley (Stosh) Bogarski. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Community Hospice. Donations in her name can be made at www.Communityhospice.org. A private service was held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, NY for family at 11:00 am, Monday, May 11th, 2020. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Stuyvesant Falls, NY.
