Andrea, Jeffery and Greg: My late husband Walt Tuchowski was close to Charlie when they worked together at DCJS. I was so sorry to see his obit today. Walt admired his calm professionalism, integrity and sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a common interest in auto racing. I well remember enduring a day of racing at Lime Rock in the pouring rain and how thankful I was to have Andrea there to commiserate. I know the loss you are experiencing and only hope that he and Walt are reconnecting in the hereafter. Warmest regards and condolences to you all. Mary Daley Tuchowski

Dear Rutherford Family, I’m heartbroken to find out about the passing of my dear friend, and former partner, Charlie. I will miss our lunches and all of the times we reminisced about our adventures on the police department. Charlie was a perfect friend, but an even better father and husband and I send all my love to Andrea, Jeff, and Greg and their families. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
