Obituary of Kathleen E. Calabrese

Kathleen E. Calabrese, 68, of Valatie, NY, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home. Born March 5, 1952 in Stanfordville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Newton Boyce Kemp Jr. and Evalena Mable (Thurst). Kathleen worked as a hairdresser for Grants Beauty Salon in Poughkeepsie and for many years at Ferncliff Nursing home in Milbrook NY. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking cakes and was a very devoted wife and mother, a "Supermom"! She is survived by her husband Alfred J. Calabrese, two children: Elena and Daniel Calabrese, both of Valatie and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Newton Boyce Kemp Jr. and a sister Arthena Jones. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020, 2:00PM at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, NY. Calling hours will be Saturday from 12-2PM prior to the service. For those who wish, contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church, Valatie.
