Jayne Wainwright Hester (Dutchie), 69 years old passed away on 11/17/2020 at her home. Jayne was born in Albany on 3/8/51 to parents Martin Hester and Laurie Counihan Hester. She went to high school at St Mary's Academy in Hudson. She attended Columbia Greene College and went on to earn her degree from Sienna College in Albany NY. Jayne worked for State Senator Doug Hudson, was executive director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, owner of The Rosery Flowers Shops, The OK Package Store and The Kinderhook B+B. In retirement Jayne found her passion and became an accomplished American Rug Hooker traveling the United States teaching the fine art of hooking and selling her one of a kind patterns and color planning. Jayne was passionate about her family, friends and community. She started the Ghent Playhouse, the Fourth of July Peoples Parade of Kinderhook in 1997, and the fund for Christmas Lights in the Kinderhook Square with Village Residents. Jayne is survived by her loving husband William Laraway, their children, Mac Hester-Laraway and grand-daughter Madeline Laraway; O'mally Monahan, her husband Kevin Monahan and grandchildren McKenna and Rory Monahan; Sarah SanEmeterio and grand-children Drew and Molly SanEmeterio; Courtney Laraway Osborne and her grand-child Bailey Osborne and her sister Mary Hester of Winter Haven Florida. Funeral services will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie NY on November 21, 2020 at noon with Father George Fleming. Burial will follow at St John the Baptist Cemetery. Anyone who wishes, please send donations in Jayne's memory to the Valatie Santa Claus Club. Arrangements are under the direction of the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
