Obituary of Frank P. Rizzi

Frank P. Rizzi, 93, of Ghent, NY, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born November 24, 1926 in Athens, NY, he was the son Peter and Mable (Kisselburg) Rizzi . Frank was a US Navy veteran during WW2 and worked as a Well Driller for both Keiser Well Drilling in Claverack and Blue Circle Cement in Ravena. Upon retiring, he enjoyed tinkering with tractors, small engines and loved gardening. It was said that he could just about fix anything. Frank was a sweet soul who was loved by everyone.
He is survived by two sons: Frank Rizzi of Kinderhook, NY and Thomas Rizzi (Lorraine) of Ghent, NY,three sisters: Carleen Lewis of Athens, NY, Elvira Clark of Catskill, NY and Joann Porto (Frank) of Clearwater, FL, a grandson, Michael R. Rizzi (Alana) of Oriskany , NY. and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Agnes I. (Staats) Rizzi and his siblings Peter, Phil and William Rizzi, Pat Roccio and Mary DiPerna.
A private graveside service for the family will be held in the West Ghent Cemetery due to the upsurge of Covid-19. Donations to the Ghent Reformed Church, 1039 Ct. Rt. 22, Ghent, NY 12075 for the free meal program in Franks memory, for those who wish, would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
