As my sister Pam already said, our family vacations together with Aunt Joan were some of my favorite childhood memories. I loved her house! Aunt Joan was always laughing, that's what I remember. She was so faithful with remembering birthdays, she made me feel loved. This is a beautiful picture of her from my mom and dad's collection. She will be greatly missed.

My condolences to my cousins Laurie, Lonnie, Tammy, and Tonya. Aunt Joan was a kind and thoughtful person. There were a number of times that I had a report due for school the next day and she was kind enough to type them for me the night before. Nothing like waiting to the last minute, but she never complained. I use to wave to her when I drove by her apartment when she sat on the front porch. Then she moved and I didn't see much of her after that. I will always cherish the memories of my dear aunt. God be with you.

Thank you for this sweet memory, Brian. Mom typed a lot of papers for students in her day. Her typing skills were quite amazing. She loved living on Hudson St. and greeting all the passers by. She did talk about how she loved that porch and she did enjoy her hours spent doing word puzzles and waving and chatting with her friends and neighbors from her chair there.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers to all your family in the loss of your Mom and Grandma. She always greeted all with a smile on her cheery face, and when walking in the village, we looked to wave to her on her porch on Hudson Avenue.

My best memories of Aunt Joan were the summer vacations we spent together . As kids, we would ride up to " the counrty" to spend time playing outside and eating all together. Then they would come down to "the city" and spend a week with us going to the beach and watching slide shows in our living room. Also, Aunt Joan never forgot my birthday. I got a card from her every year way into my fiftes. I loved her very much, l am glad her disease is over and she will rest in peace with our Lord!

Joan was an interesting woman with a sense of humor that was unending! She was quick with her answers and never missed a chance to tease or pick on someone! Joan loved coffee. .... really loved it! She had several coffee cups and was always ready for a refill! She made my life different as I listened to her stories about life! She was an amazing woman and friend! RIP Joan. We love you

One of my best memories of my Sister is when she, Sandy and I used to take our "mental health" days to go to Albany and visit the Christmas Tree Shop and usually have breakfast and lunch, food was always a big thing LOL We would always laugh until our faces hurt. Best days ever!
