Obituary of Robert Jensen

Robert C. Jensen passed away at home peacefully on December 29, 2024. He was 83. Born on January 19, 1941 to Chris L. and Virginia B. (Wagner) Jensen in his grandfather's house on a farm at Nevis, Minnesota. He grew up on his father's farm at Nevis and graduated from Nevis High School. After working on his father's farm, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era. He attended the Eveleth Area Technical School, graduating in 1967. He joined 3M Company in 1967 and relocated to New York State where he retired from 3M in 1999. He served as Town Assessor beginning in 1996 until 2025. He was a member of American Legion Post 47 of Valatie and St. John's Lutheran Church of Stuyvesant. He was a former member of the Northern Columbia Lions Club where he held several offices including Club President and Deputy District Governor. He loved very much his life with his wife Liz and his daughters Christine and Tracy and their many vacation trips to Walt Disney World, to Minnesota to visit relatives and to Niagara Falls, Canada. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Jensen and his daughters Christine Jensen and Tracy Jensen. He is survived by many nieces and nephews in Minnesota and New York. A service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Stuyvesant Falls Cemetery.
