Obituary of Joseph G. McIntyre Sr.

Joseph G. McIntyre Sr, known affectionately as Joe, passed away at the age of 92 on August 12, 2024. Born on April 25, 1932, in Valatie, Joe lived a long fulfilling life. His presence will be deeply missed by family, friends and all that knew him. Joe is predeceased by his wife Barbara and daughter Patricia. Survived by daughter Karen (Sue), son Joseph Jr. (Adele), son in law Joseph Wildermuth, granddaughter Brittany (Brad) and great granddaughter Evelyn. Joe attended school at Martin H. Glynn where he enjoyed playing baseball. He served in the Korean War. He worked many years as a lab technician for BASF. He loved Yankees Baseball, Giants Football and all dogs! He will be remembered for his humor and good nature. He served with the Niverville Fire Department for over 50 years. Many thanks to the Staff of the FASNY Firefighters Home in Hudson, NY. They provided excellent care and support. Friends may call from 10 - 12 PM, Friday, August 16, 2024 at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, NY. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 12:30 PM in the Kinderhook Cemetery, Kinderhook, NY. In lieu of flowers any donations may be made to the FASNY Firefighters Home.
