Obituary of Gail Foster

Gail Elizabeth Foster, a beloved resident of Niverville, NY, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 31, 1946, to William and Eugenia Marohn. She attended Cardinal McClusky High School, graduating with the class of 1964. Gail dedicated her professional life to serving in the payroll and facility departments of Ichabod Crane Central School and Bethlehem Central Schools, where she made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community. A true enthusiast of life, Gail was an avid motorcyclist who loved the thrill of the open road and the joy of traveling to new places. She was also deeply committed to her community, especially through her involvement with the Girl Scouts, where she helped shape the lives of many young women. A devoted Catholic, Gail was a faithful member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Valatie. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to the Kinderhook Lions Club Gail is survived by her loving husband, Bob Foster of Niverville, NY; her son, Kevin; her daughters, Cynthia (Justin) and Lynneanne; her brothers William and John (Donna) and her cherished grandchildren, Joshua, Cody, Victoria, Luke, Rebecca, and Marc. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Mason, Harper, and Dean. Gail leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her with fondness. Gail will now be reunited with her late son, Greg. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on August 14th at 11:00 AM at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Valatie, with interment to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gail's memory to the Greg Foster Memorial Scholarship Fund at Ichabod Crane Central School's Guidance Office.
