Obituary of Karen Lee Bogarski

Karen Lee Bogarski, 75, of Glenmont, NY passed away on March 2, 2024, peacefully at home. Born in Hudson, NY to Kathryn (Lee) and Frank Bogarski on October 14, 1948. Karen went to High School at Ichabod Crane in Valatie, NY and graduated in 1966. She worked as a Calculations Clerk for the NYS Office of the State Comptroller for 10 years and for many years at the National Union Bank of Kinderhook. She enjoyed spending time with her kitty. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kendra and her husband Waldemar Chajon and their 3 children, Jakob, Jaina and Zackery; sister, Regina Blair of Valatie and her children, James (Colleen) of East Greenbush and Jeffrey Meltz of Valatie; sister, Christine (Dale) Schermerhorn of Kinderhook and their children, Michael Schermerhorn of Kinderhook and Erin (Justin) Gansowski of Phoenix, NY; sister, Susan Kmiotek of Conway, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Aldea Bogarski and her children, Laura (Chris) Rowan and Frank Bogarski III. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Bogarski, her niece, Amanda Schermerhorn and her brother-in-law, Pete Kmiotek. Friends are invited and may call from 4-6 PM, Monday, March 4, 2024 at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Rt. 9, Valatie. Karen's graveside service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rt. 9, Stuyvesant Falls, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Animalkind, POB 902, Hudson, NY 12534.
