Marie Casey Baillargeon, 95, of Valatie, NY passed away Jauary 21, 2024 of natural causes at The Grand of Barnwell, Valatie, NY. She was the daughter of Arthur and Helen Casey and lived in Mechanicville, N.Y. She played the Clarinet, Piano and sung chorus in High school. She had a degree in Early Childhood Development from Oswego State for Teachers where she met and married Jarvis Henry Baillargeon on December 27, 1949. They built their own home in Ellenburg, N.Y and started their family of 9 children with their respective spouses: Jan and Jack McEneny, Jill and Ray Holland, Roger and Kim Baillargeon, Neal and Karen Baillargeon, Paul Baillargeon, Hugh Baillargeon, Claire Baillargeon, Carl and Brenda Baillargeon and Mark Baillargeon; 7 grandchildren with respective spouses: Lauren and Brendan White, Colin Parkes, Tanner and Allison Holland, Megan and Ken McGivney, Erin Baillargeon, Patrick Baillargeon and Dennis Baillargeon; 5 great grandchildren: Alessandra McGivney, Maia McGivney, Jacob White, Caleb White, and Eliza Holland. Her favorite activities were Barbershop singing with her quartet, The Sweet Adeline's and choruses, Square dancing and enjoyed traveling with her family around the country and she also visited Ireland, France , Holland, Germany, Russia and Bermuda. Friends are invited for her wake from 10-12 PM, Thursday at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie. Funeral services will be private. She will be interned with her husband at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, N.Y in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Micheal J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the Valatie Rescue Squad.
