Karen E. Merritt, 56, of Hudson, NY passed away on January 15, 2024 in Albany, NY. Born on December 23, 1967 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of the late James and Barbara ( Rivenburg ) Merritt.
She is survived by her sons, Kristopher Cowan of Hudson and Aaron (Alicia) Cowan of Kinderhook, NY; her siblings, Thomas (Denise) Merritt of Athens, NY, Michael (Unja) Merritt of Colorado and James (Bonnie) Merritt of Columbiaville, NY and her grandchildren, Leighton Colarusso, Wyatt Cowan, Madison Cowan and Ada Colarusso.
Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Gary and Diane Merritt.
Funeral services will be 12 PM, Monday at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, NY. Calling hours will be from 10 - 12 PM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Valatie.
Contributions may be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society.
