Obituary of Suzanne Elizabeth Tiano

Suzanne "Sue" Elizabeth Tiano (Hendler), 65, of Stuyvesant, NY passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones during the early morning hours of December 5, 2023. Suzanne was born and raised in Hudson, NY. She was a graduate of Hudson High School, Class of '76. We will always remember Suzanne as a loving mother, with a heart so big it could move mountains. Sue was resilient, witty and hard-working. She never let any obstacle slow her down. Sue always had a way of coming out stronger than before. Suzanne will be missed by so many people, near and far. In the years leading up to Suzanne's passing, she truly lived life to the fullest. Suzanne worked as head of The Weights and Measurement Department in Columbia County for five years. She took great pride in the day-to-day work she did. Sue also loved traveling to new places. She was able to take in the breathtaking views of the big skies of Montana, the snow covered mountains of Vermont, the vast lakes of Michigan and the sandy shores of the tropics, just to name a few. When she wasn't traveling, Sue spent her days out on the golf course, relaxing with her pets at home and gathering with friends. She was a true lover of the simpler things in life. Suzanne is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Harvender of Martinsdale, MT and Rachael Harvender of Stowe, VT, her three sisters, Kathy (Ronnie) Minor, Heidie Riley (Greg Miller), Elizabeth "Lisa" Hendler, her two step-sons, Ryan and Shawn Tiano, nephew David Hendler and family, niece Stefanie Hendler-Moore and her two children Logan and Jacob. Sue is also survived by her loving dog Callie and her 3 cats. Suzanne is predeceased by her ever loving husband Ralph J. Tiano, parents David A. Hendler, Hilda Hendler, and her brother Michael P. Hendler. Calling hours will be held at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, NY on Friday December 15, 2023 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM. A burial service will be held 11:00AM the following morning, Saturday December 16th, at Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson, NY. The family will be hosting a post burial reception with a location, TBA.
