Erik T. Chuley, 26, passed unexpectedly on November 29, 2023.
Erik was born in Amarillo, Texas on August 20, 1997, to Christina (Walker) Chuley and John T. Chuley, and raised by John Chuley, Christine Chuley, and Jenny Lee Vreeland. He graduated from Schenectady High School in 2015. Erik honorably followed his father's footsteps by joining the United States Military. In 2017, Erik earned his Eagle, Globe, and Anchor [EGA] at Parris Island, South Carolina for the United States Marine Corps.
After Erik's completion in the Marine Corps, he followed his passion in construction and worked in many trades to give customers comfort, happiness, and pride in their homes. Outside of working, Erik lived for his sister and family, his friends, snowboarding, playing Axes and Allies with his father, dancing, singing, sky-diving, and camping. Erik strove to make memories full of comfort and laughter with everyone in his proximity.
Erik's legacy will continue by Kirsten Chuley (sister), John T. Chuley (father), Christine M. Chuley (step mother) and Jenny Lee Vreeland ('Mom'), grandparents Raymond T. Chuley, Beverly J. Ringwood, Mary S. Walker, and Tore Stenqvist. He was an amazing uncle to Jacob, Jace, Dietrich, LeeLoo, Reese, Penelope, Greyson, Nicholas, Zander, Zephyr, Zedric, and Kaiden. Erik was honored by so many as a son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend.
He was predeceased by Christina (Walker) Chuley (mother), James Walker (grandfather), Edward Ringwood (grandfather), and Shirley Chuley (grandmother).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation.
