Obituary of Bernadette Marie Campion

Bernadette Marie (Bernie) Campion, 83, of Valatie, NY passed away on November 28, 2023 at home with her family by her side. Born February 12, 1940 in Clydebank, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Robb) and John McCauley. She moved to the US in 1949 where she married on January 25,1958 to the love of her life, Thomas E. Campion. She was a longtime resident of Columbia County. Bernadette was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Valatie and later at Church of St. Joesph, Stuyvesant Falls and loved her family, her faith and music. Besides her husband, Thomas, she is also survived by her children, Kevin (Christine), Sean (Jackie), Anne Marie (Billy), Elizabeth(Chris), Donna(Wes) and Christine(Mark); her grandchildren, Derrick, Michael, (Sandy), Stephen, Spencer, Maegan, Elise, Sean, Thomas, Christian, Paige, Austin, Olivia, Sophia, Mason, Trey, Riley, Alex; 8 great grandchildren; her brothers, John and Tony as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is also predeceased by her sister, Anne Smith. Viewing hours are on December 2,2023 at 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook St., Rt.9, Valatie, NY 12184. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 2 PM at the Church of St. Joseph, Rt. 9, Stuyvesant Falls.
