Obituary of Thomas M. Shaw

Thomas Michael Shaw, 60, passed away at the Albany Medical Center with family by his side on October 6th, 2023. A resident of Niverville, New York, Thomas was born on October 13, 1962 in Hudson. He was the son of the late Kathleen A. (McGuire) and John T. Shaw. Tom graduated from Ichabod Crane Central School, Valatie, NY in 1982. For the past 30 years, he worked for Goold Well Drilling. Tom was an animal lover who often tended to a stray cat or any animal that found it's way to him. In his lifetime he had dogs, horses, rabbits, cats, chickens and pigeons. When he wasn't at work you could find him throwing the ball for his dog Lady Jane who passed away at the age of 12 this August. He is survived by his siblings, Sharon Colburn (Jeffrey) of Mont Vernon, NH, John (Priscilla) Shaw, of Niverville, NY, Robert Shaw, of Niverville, NY and Kathleen Palladino (Scott) of Chatham Center, NY. He is survived by a large extended family of cousins, aunts and many nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 pm, Friday at St. John the Baptist Church, Valatie. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery. Friends are invited and may attend calling hours from 10am to 12pm prior to the mass at the Raymond E.
