Lynn Marie Potter, 74, of Valatie, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 4, 2023. Born on April 23, 1949 in Somerville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Doris Eleanor (Marshall) and Milton Guy Spooner and the wife of John Sargent Potter Jr.
Before her retirement, Lynn was a Microbiology Lab Tech at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.
She was a member of the National United Methodist Campers and the Nomads.
In addition to her loving husband of 54 years, John, she is also survived by her children, Cheryl L. Blair (RJ), Laura Masterson (Ken), Michael J. Potter (Julianna) and Stephen G. Potter; her siblings, Edna and John Spooner; her sister-in-laws, Nancy and Peggy Spooner; her grandkids, Talia, Zachary and Isabella Potter, Jacob and Jonathan Blair, Marissa Mendetta, SeanMichael Mendetta (Sarah) and Rebecca and Jaylee Gier.
Besides her parents, Lynn is also predeceased by her siblings, Allen and Nona Spooner.
Friends are invited and may attend Lynn's calling hours from 2-4 PM on Tuesday at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie. Funeral services will begin at 4 PM. Interment will be at a later date at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Niverville-Chatham Center United Methodist Church, POB 64, Niverville, NY 12130.
