Our family met Roger at St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he was a member of the choir. He was such an enthusiastic man about so many things and he heartily welcomed us into the church family. Eventually my husband and I joined him in the choir. Although we are saddened by his passing, we rejoice that he was welcomed into heaven with the words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

Roger was one of a kind, a cherished part of my memories growing up, and will be truly missed.
I was lucky to get to know Roger as my bus driver when I was in Primary and Elementary School. Being a forgetful student, it was not unheard of that some items were left behind on the bus after drop-off.
Roger was always hand-delivering the forgotten items, just such a kind, thoughtful, gentle soul. Roger would also laugh when I would have to chase the bus. His warm demeanor was always noticed by the students on the bus, and Roger became not only our bus driver but almost like an uncle or grandpa figure.
He always remembered me, even years later, and it was always a nice surprise to see him pull up in his gigantic Excursion at the gas station I used to work at. Always made my day to see him!
Sending thoughts and prayers to his family during this time.

Roger was a truly dignified gentlemen.
As a teacher I enjoyed many student trips to art events with him at the helm. He is to be admired and respected. RIP Roger.

I was thankful to meet Roger through his trusty steed Noddy (pictured above). Noddy was boarded at the farm I practically lived on as a child in his later years. I was determined to ride Noddy as he was the biggest horse in the barn standing at over 17 hands high. Roger offered to teach me lessons on Noddy and with that time they both taught me so much. They had very similar qualities, both very respectful gentleman and a great sense of humor. Roger had so much knowledge under his belt to share but with that I learned how loyal a horse was to their owners. Every time Roger would walk into the barn, Noddy's ears would perk, and you could physically see how elated Noddy would be to see his partner that he had shared so many adventures with. I know without a doubt that Noddy was waiting for Roger at the Golden Gates and can now continue their adventures together.
Rest in peace Roger and Noddy. Thank you for everything.

I hold very fond memories of Roger. His kindness and graciousness were larger than life. As a young woman new to foxhunting back in the mid 90’s, I was enthusiastic and honored to be under the tutelage of such a wonderful gentleman. May he rest in peace and may his generosity be remembered always.

My fondest memory of Roger was him driving us home from our first state championship in 2015! I think he was just as proud of the girls as I was. It was a long day and Roger handled it with ease. He was the teams favorite driver.
