Obituary of Suzanne Marie Heins

Please share a memory of Suzanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Suzanne (Sue) Marie Heins, 69, of Valatie, NY passed away on July 31st, 2023. Sue was born in Portsmouth, VA, to Theodore and Lillian Mae (Russell) Trout on October 5th, 1953. She graduated from Ichabod Crane High School in 1971. Sue enjoyed spending time at the Jersey Shore in the summer where she could relax by the water with a good book or take a walk on the boardwalk. In recent years, this annual pilgrimage morphed into trips with her sisters to various beach houses in the Carolina's. In her eyes, the only place better than the shore was Disney World and she jumped at any opportunity to visit. Everyone in Sue's circle could feel her love and generosity. She had an amazing talent for celebrating and entertaining her friends and family. Whether it was a birthday, a holiday or just for some fun, her celebrations fostered life-long friendships and memories that always bring a smile. She cherished her family. Her thoughtfulness and compassion made her a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Sue "Granny" will be greatly missed by her children, Trevor Heins (Rebecca Fischer), Tahnee (Philip) Bickerton, Corey Heins, Shaye Heins (Fitzgerald Drummond), her grandchildren Bailee Drummond, Addi May Bickerton, Keira Drummond, Zoey Heins, Ella Jayn Bickerton, Sawyer Heins Bickerton, her siblings Barbara (Corey) Jones, Tracy Trout, David (Paula) Trout, and Barry (Jennifer) Eastlack, her beloved dog Gibby, her dear friend Lindy Losowski, as well as several extended family and friends. Sue was predeceased by her parents and the love of her life, high school sweetheart and husband, Arthur "Bud" Heins, Jr. The family will be holding a private celebration of life at their convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
