Kenneth C. VanAllen, 82, of Valatie, NY passed away on May 2, 2023 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
Born on January 19, 1941 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Cornelius Peter and Marie (Ford) VanAllen and the husband of 49 1/2 years to Patricia Ann (Hutchins) VanAllen.
Kenny was from The School of Hard Knocks and to this day enjoyed owning and operating his beloved businesses including: VanAllen Automotive, Inc. (60 years), CarQuest Auto Parts, and OK Food Products. His love of streetcars led him into his well known carshows at his restaurant for many years.
Besides his wife, Patty, he is also survived by his brother, Neil (Michele) VanAllen of Kinderhook; his sisters, Alice Sharp of Spencertown, Tina Bauhoff of Valatie and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, Saturday, from 10 - 1 PM. A graveside service will follow at 2pm in the Kinderhook Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Valatie Food Pantry or a charity of one's choice.
