Obituary of Virginia May Brusso
Please share a memory of Virginia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Virginia May Brusso, 88, went to sleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Born on May 11, 1934, Virginia was the daughter of the late Peter J Sapko, Sr and Helen M Pauza. In addition to her parents, Virginia is predeceased by her brothers Peter Jr and Harry Sapko and her husband Edward Brusso.
After graduating from Hudson High School she went on to work many years at Columbia Memorial Hospital, in Hudson, NY. On April 6, 1952, Virginia married Edward W Brusso and together they had four children; Edward Brusso, June (Vincent) Legg, Gregory Brusso and Terri (Tony) Jones. They shared 52 wonderful years of marriage until Edward's passing in June 2004. Aside from being an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Virginia was an incredibly talented artist who loved to paint some of the many different lighthouses, landscapes, sunrises and sunsets that she witnessed on the countless family vacations to the ocean. She deeply loved to listen to and spread the word of God and praying. She greatly enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee and a conversation with a loved one, camping, gardening, crocheting, cooking, baking and traveling but the moments Virginia treasured the most, were those she spent with family.
In addition to her children, Virginia is survived by her brother Larry (Connie) Sapko of Texas, her sister Marjorie Nelson of Utah, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-children and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
