Obituary of Doris A. Hatfield

Doris Anna Hatfield, 92, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 peacefully in her sleep. Born June 21, 1930 in Gerittsen Beach, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Jacobson) Sondermann, the second child of five. She is survived by daughter Cathy Akin, son Mark (Pam) Hatfield, grandchildren Josh (BJ) Schrader, Sarah (Carl) Welch, Peter (Kyle) Hatfield and Colin Hatfield, great grandchildren, Bryar, Hunter, Emma, Darren, Jemma, Maxwell and Ciaran. She will be remembered fondly by close family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, granddaughter Cheryl Kohler and son-in-law Douglas Akin. Graveside services for family and close friends will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Valatie, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or Community Hospice of Columbia Greene.
