Joseph Gerard Ether, 81 of Claverack, NY, passed away on November, 7th 2022 at home.
Joseph was born in Manhattan, NY to Curtis Ether and Stella Ether Sinus on August, 9th 1941. He worked for New York State Police in Claverack, NY as a Trooper and retired as a Tech Sargent at Division Headquarters after 20 years.
Joseph is survived by his sons Joseph C. Ether, Stephen Ether, daughter Theresa Hoffman, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Ether, brother Curtis Ether, Sisters Alice Zanuck, Theresa Ether and grandson Brian Webster.
Donations can be made to the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association in lieu of flowers.
Funeral service will be held at Raymond E Bond Funeral home in Valatie, NY on Saturday, November 12th at 200pm. Visitation will be from 1200pm to 200pm. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Stockport, NY.
