Obituary of John P. Coutsonikas

John P. Coutsonikas, 65 of Stuyvesant NY, passed away suddenly on August 28, 2022. Born in Nashua NH, he lived in Worcester MA until moving to NY with his young family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Robin, his son Timothy, his daughter Jessica Altomer (CJ), his daughter Danielle Lance (Chris), and his five grandchildren, Caiden, Lukas, and Jackson Lance, and Eva and Nikolas Altomer. He is survived by his siblings, James Jr., Cheryl O'Meara, Michael, Thomas (Olive), Cindy and his brother-in-law Richard Lacey. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and countless friends and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents Eva and James Coutsonikas Sr., his brother Daniel, his sister Donna Lacey, and his sisters-in-law Sharon O'Meara, Cheryl K. Noel, and Ann Welch. He was a proud Army veteran, an avid New England Patriots fan and was most happy when spending time with his grandchildren. For over 40 years he was a cabinet maker and a master finish carpenter. He was extremely proud of his work and his family. He was loved by many and will be forever missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local food pantry in his honor. There will be no calling hours. At his request, there will be a Celebration of his Life on Saturday 9/3/22 at Four Brothers in Valatie, NY from 1-4pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie NY.
