Carol was an amazing woman as everyone who knew her knows. She was strong, funny, loving, a loyal friend and caring. I first met Carol after she had lost her husband Gene Sr. and she came to our church, St. Paul's Episcopal church with Jackie and Gene in tow as they were elementary age children. Clearly she was wounded by the loss but she was strong and very much a survivor. She raised her kids well all on her own. The 3 of them have a closeness that is remarkable. I always admired her for her strength. I loved her for her humor and her love of fun! Carol was very proud of her children and her grandchildren. She was an influence and friend in my life that I will hold forever in my heart. Prayers and deeply felt condolences go out to her family.
