Obituary of Jean M. Hall

Jean M. Hall, 91, of Valatie, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Albany Medical Center. Born July 16, 1930 in Troy, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Sleus) Horton and the wife of the late Morey B. Hall. Before her retirement, Jean was a Teller for the Albany Savings Bank. She was a devoted babysitter to her granddaughters, Lauren and Julia and enjoyed vacationing along the Maine coast. She loved baking, especially her famous molasses cookies. Jean had tremendous faith in God and loved her grand animals. Jean is survived by her 3 children, Morey G. Hall (Sharon) of Hudson, Curtis L. Hall of Rensselaer and Eileen M. Hall with whom she lived and was cared for with love, of Valatie, 2 grandchildren, Julia A. DePersia (Justine) and Lauren C. Hall. Also survived by Michele M. DePersia, former daughter-in-law and mother of Jeans only grandchildren, a niece Katherine Balle (Bruce) and a nephew Thomas Hall (Brenda). Besides her husband and parents, Jean is also predeceased by 2 children, Jeffrey and Lynn Hall and her brother, Gradon Horton. A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Saturday at the Raymond E.
