I was thinking about Jim on my way to work today when I stopped for coffee. If I gave Jim a ride to work on Fridays, he always got my coffee for me - at Cumberland Farms - because the coffee is free on Fridays! Jim convinced the Cumberland Farms clerk that I was his mother (which she believed even though we are only three years apart!) which he thought was hysterical. I miss Jim ribbing me and our Accounting office will never be the same. My deepest sympathies to his family. Safe travels Jim.

We did a couple Valley Cat games with Jimmy and a trip to Cooperstown which ended in a $75 dollar parking ticket. And I remember Jimmy saying “ it was well worth it”. Of course, he wasn’t paying the parking ticket (lol) but to have this memory of spending this time with Jimmy, it was DEFINITELY WORTH IT. RIP Jimmy until we meet again. To his family, you are in my thoughts and I am sending many hugs. ❤️❤️

Jim was one of my 1st friends when I went to Columbia Greene. He drove this city boy to school everyday and we shared great times with the Cross Country team, watching sports and playing the horses, all things he enjoyed. I’m so happy my wife and I got to have dinner with him and other friends last Friday. This is such a shock but knowing Jim was happy brings solace. Our deepest condolences to Jim’s family. RIP pal.

Karen and I are shocked and saddened with the news of Jim's passing. I'm so glad we were able to get together last Friday with friends and shared good memories. We had the added benefit of bringing Jim to and from dinner and we had fun speaking of his college trip to see a concert in the winter driving I-88 in his Doge Dart with bald tires!. Jim was excited about watching the men's Olympic basketball team play for the gold later that night. I can say Jim was happy at work, enjoyed going in every day and seeing his colleagues. We are grateful for the friendship we have had with Jim since our high school days and throughout college. He was one of the gang and certainly added to the value of our gatherings. For Jim's surviving family, may you be uplifted by the collective thoughts of friends and loved ones who will share these good traits and memories of Jim. Peace to you and God bless.

Our deepest condolences to the family. We're so very sorry for your loss. Jim was a very good friend and we will miss him so very much. I'll miss your passion for baseball, yes, the Yankees are the greatest team of all time, and damn you were a very good poker player too. You always kicked my butt (Ellie) and lit up whenever we were able to play Texas Hold'em tournaments.
The Stuyvesant firehouse poker tournament gang will also feel your loss, but then again, now someone else can win! I'm glad you had such a great time at your class reunion last weekend, before you were taken away too soon.
May you forever be at peace in your own 'Field of Dreams'.
Love, Ellie & George DePrima
