Mrs Burt was my first collector. She used to buy my watercolor magnets (which weren't that good) and pass them out to her friends, all the while promoting me and my artwork. She pushed me into the light and is the major reason I didn't give up painting again. I'd tried before but didn't have such a steadfast fan. What a difference she made in my life. I am forever grateful. Blessed be, Mrs Burt.

Mrs. B was like a second mom to me. She and my mom were great friends starting before I was born. Their friendship began my friendship with her daughter. My best friend Mandy, her daughter, and I have decades of fond memories of all our sleepovers, pool parties, tulip festivals, and visits. Mrs. B was always so welcoming, warm and gracious to everyone. She was a dedicated teacher by profession, as well as a wonderful teacher to Mandy and I in the lessons of loyalty, humility, generosity, integrity, friendship, and perseverance. She will be deeply missed by us. She has an inspirational light and positive energy that lives on.
