Obituary of Betty J. Pulver

Betty J. Pulver, 89, formerly of Stockport NY, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Pine Haven Home in Philmont, NY. Born July 24, 1931 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Margaret (Staats) Sweet. Betty worked at Columbia Memorial Hospital for over 45 years. She was very involved with her family and helped raise her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a former member of the Stockport Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her son: David "Pee Wee" Pulver (Jennifer) of Stockport, a sister: Marcia Garcia of Greenport; ten grandchildren; Ashley Southard (Josh), Brianna Pulver, Jeremy Pulver (Josette), Ronnie McIntosh (Carrie) ,Elisa McIntosh, Nicole Presley, Richard Pulver Jr., Tricia Parsons (Mark), Tim and Mark VanWinkle and several great and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Remus E. Pulver, children Donna Hines, Richard Pulver and Debbie Pulver and, siblings Ella Mae Snyder, Pauline Nitsky, Viola Lippera, Howard and Woodrow Sweet. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 2:00PM at the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls. Burial will follow in Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson. There will be no Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church of St. Joseph, 1820 US Route 9, Stuyvesant, NY 12173. Arrangements are under the direction of the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
