Obituary of Michele A. Hauser

Michele A. Hauser, 52, of Kinderhook, NY, died Monday, April 20, 2020 at Whittier Rehabilitation Center in Ghent after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 25, 1967 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Dorothea (Algie) Masten of Kinderhook. Michele was a 1985 graduate of Ichabod Crane High School and worked there in the cafeteria. She was affectionately known as the "Lunch Lady". She loved her job and missed her kids terribly after having to retire because of her illness. She was a Girl Scout Leader for Troop 1333 in Valatie and the Treasurer and longtime member of the Palmer Engine and Hose Co. Ladies Auxiliary in Kinderhook. She is survived by her husband Michael Hauser, two daughters: Samantha Hauser (Brian Pitts) of Alexandria, VA and Dakota Hamm of Kinderhook, her son: Andrew Hauser of Kinderhook, a sister: Debbie Johnson of Kinderhook. She is also survived by her two nieces, Amanda Hill and Ashley Johnson. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date in order to protect the health and wellbeing of her family and friends.
