Obituary of Edward W. Balli
Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward William Balli, Sr. peacefully passed away at his home in Kinderhook, NY on March 29, 2023 at the age of 90. Pops was surrounded by his loving family who carries on Pop's essence of unconditional love and support for family and friends. Ed was born in the Bronx, NY in 1932 and was the son of Dominic and Ida Balli. While serving in the US Navy during the Korean War, Ed met his one and only true love, Arlene V. Quinn. Ed and Arlene married in 1954 and moved to beautiful Columbia County, NY. Ed joined the NYS Troopers in 1955 and together they raised five children (Edward Jr. Lorraine, Glenn, John and Virginia) in Kinderhook. While Ed and Arlene's union on earth ended with Arlene's passing in 1983, they are undoubtedly now eternally embracing, and reunited with Eddie. When Ed retired as a NYS Trooper after 36 years of service, he continued to live his values every day through utmost and complete dedication to his children, and soon enough, the jewels of his life, grandchildren (USA CPT Quinn J. Balli, Maria, Christina (CC) and Andrea). Pops also immensely loved his daughter-in-law Catherine as his child and held a special place in his heart for Caroline Stebbins. It is impossible to describe the love and support Pops received from his all-star caregivers, but it is greatly appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie on Saturday, April 1st from 10am to 12 noon, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the Kinderhook Reformed Church Cemetery, Kinderhook, NY.
