Lawrence Jerrald Martino, age 87 of Stuyvesant, New York passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026.



Lawrence was born in Stockport, New York to Peter and Roxie (Petit) Martino on August 30, 1938. He attended Hudson High School and went on to join the US Army from 1961 to 1963. After returning from the Army, he married Judith (Perry) in 1964. Having spent the last 67 years together was a true testament of their love.



He worked at the State Grille in Hudson, NY, the family tavern. He was employed by Sterling Organics for 38 years before retiring in 2000 as a pipefitter. After retiring, he began a Caretaking career for the past 26 years to the present.



Lawrence is survived by his wife, Judith (Perry), his son, Marc Martino (Tina), his daughter, Amy Martino-Norton (Scott), three grandchildren, Joseph Martino, Daniele Martino, Jake Dwileski, and one great- grandson, Christopher Martino. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Joseph Martino and brother Frank Martino.



Lawrence was a life member of Glencadia Rod and Gun Club, Sons of Italy, Kinderhook Elks, and the Columbia County Car Club. He was a proud Veteran and enjoyed family gatherings, going to the diner daily, dinners with his wife, his various collections, auctions, car shows, and hunting and outdoor activities. He was at his happiest when he could be taking care of his family, or just being on his John Deere lawn tractor.



Funeral services will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, NY on Monday, July 27, 2026 with Father Winston Bath officiating. Calling hours will be 10:00am-12:00pm with a prayer service at Noon. Burial with Army Military Honors will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Stuyvesant Falls, New York
