Berenice T. Taylor Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Berenice "Berni" T. Taylor, who died on June 1, 2026, at the age of 101.
Born on October 9, 1924, in Delaware, Berni grew up with strong values that guided her throughout her life. As a young woman, she was inspired by her Catholic upbringing and dreamed of becoming a nun. Although she chose another path, her faith remained strong.
After her marriage to Dr. Robert J. Taylor Jr., Berni settled in East Greenbush, New York. She embraced her role as a wife, mother, and "household engineer," with an unwavering love for God and family. Berni was known as the queen of Christmas cookies, fruit-nut and banana bread, as well as the master of ironing. She brought style and a sense of humor to everyday life, with a beautifully bold personality. Berni's creative hobbies and interests included exercising, golfing, skiing, traveling, sewing, painting, flower arranging, and baking. Berni served as a clerk of consistory, choir member, and was involved in many church activities at Greenbush Reformed Church.
Berni was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Robert J. Taylor Jr., and daughter, Lynn C. Taylor. She is survived by her daughter, Beth M. Taylor Ennis, her grandchildren Beth Drzymala Henzler (Matthew), Kara Ennis Sidoti (Timothy), and Kelly Ennis Babic (Bradley), and her great-grandchildren Taylor and Brynn Babic.
A memorial service will be held at Greenbush Reformed Church on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
In place of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Greenbush Reformed Church, 688 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY 12061.
