Tammy Lynn Gregg, 66, of Ghent, New York, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Hudson, New York.

Born on December 29, 1959, in Albany, New York, Tammy was the daughter of the late Louis W. Smith and Josephine M. (Clark) Smith. She was a graduate of the Ichabod Crane Central Schools in Valatie, New York.

Before her retirement, she was a talented cosmetologist and a home health aide in Columbia County, New York.

Tammy enjoyed painting, cherished fellowship with her family and church and she especially loved cooking for others. Family meant everything to her, and she treasured the time spent with those she loved.

She is survived by her son, William Herchenroder; her siblings, JoAnne (John McLean), Patricia (Steven Bruno), John Smith (Patty), and Louis W. Smith Jr.; her grandchildren, Ryder and Mason Herchenroder; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Tammy was predeceased by her beloved husband, John E. Gregg.

Friends are invited and may call from 2:30 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, New York. Tammy's funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Otterbeck officiating.
