Mary Ann Geiger Obituary

Mary Ann Geiger (Reynolds), 81, of Kinderhook NY, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 18th, 2025, with her devoted husband and family by her side.



Mary is survived by her loving husband Ronald Geiger of Kinderhook NY. Together they raised three wonderful children:Heidi Bowers (Gary Bowers), Chris Geiger (Beverly Geiger), and Eric Geiger (Gosia Geiger). She is also survived by her loving brother James Reynolds of South Fallsburg NY. Mary's legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren: Allyson Bowers (James Webb), Kasia Matacchiero (Luke Matacchiero), Amanda Geiger (Jack Sullivan), Gavin Geiger, Zoe Geiger, Annika Geiger, and Great-Grandson Colton James Webb. She is preceded in death by her sister Janet Mercilliot.



Mary was born in Monticello, NY to Leonard Reynolds and Mildred Reynolds on January 7th, 1944. She went to high school in South Fallsburg. She went on to attend Orange County Community College. She worked as a Court Clerk in South Fallsburg, NY, as an Office Manager at the Columbia CountyPublic Defender Office, and as an Investigator for Columbia County Social Services. Over the years, she enjoyed all her time at each of her two camps, the first in Piesco NY and the second at Northwoods Lodge in Speculator, NY with all her fellow campfriends. She loved everything about Christmas time including masterful cookie baking and every box of her Christmas decorations. She was a serious fisherwoman on the water with her fisherman husband Ron and carefully tended to her black-eyed susans and daisies. She was a Captain and EMT of theLoch Sheldrake Ambulance Core and President of the Ladies Auxiliary at both the Loch Sheldrake Fire Department andKinderhook Elks Lodge.



Mary's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and others will be missed deeply by all who knew her. She filled the lives of her loved ones with sunshine, happiness, and the most beautiful flowers. She leaves behind a legacy of love, community, and family, and her memory will continue to live in our hearts forever.



Visitation will be at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home on Friday December 26th, 2025, from 09:00 to 11:00 followed by a service at 11:00 with Father Steve Matthews of the Catholic Community of Northern Columbia County officiating. Burial will follow at St John the Baptist Cemetery, 1025 Kinderhook St, Valatie, NY 12184.
