Kerrin Maria Strevell, 48, of Rensselaerville, NY passed away on December 13, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn.

Kerrin was born in Troy, NY to Gary and Kathleen (Stegville) Strevell on March 23, 1977.

She went to Ichabod Crane High School, graduating in 1995. She continued her studies at Central Connecticut State University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

She was most recently employed as Senior Manager, Software Engineering at Constant Contact.

She was quite athletic, excelling in volleyball, softball and basketball in her high school years as well as finding time to play saxophone with the Ghent Band. She accepted a full basketball scholarship at Central Connecticut University.

In her later years, she continued to compete as a cyclist ultimately attaining CAT 1 Pro status. She competed in many races across the country including the Women's Tour of California for Team BMW, Tour of Dairylands, and many other high profile races. She was a two-time winner of the Tour of the Battenkill.

In May of 2024 she had the opportunity to race in London, England followed by the UCI Gran Fondo at Isle of Man which qualified her for the UCI Gran Fondo World Series in Denmark.

Survived by her parents, Gary and Kathleen, brother Brandon and his wife Cheryl, nieces Hannah and Juliet, and best friend Kevin Mosher, aunts Greta Schindler, Carol Stegville, Diane (Joseph) Blanchet, uncle John Stegville (Wendi), and many cousins.

She now joins her brother Michael in Heaven.

Memorial donations in Kerrin's name may be made to Columbia Greene Humane Society.
