Linda Elizabeth Westerling (Nagy), 82, of Hudson, NY passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025. Linda was born in Hudson, NY on July 18, 1943, and later moved to Wilton, CT where she spent her childhood. She was a 1961 graduate of Wilton High School. Linda worked as a secretary for Prudential Insurance in Norwalk, CT and was later employed as a receptionist for The New Milford Times in New Milford, CT.

In September 1976, Linda moved to Arizona and married her husband of 49 years, Richard Westerling. They spent the next five years travelling extensively while in the military. During this time Linda provided childcare services, which she continued when she moved to Hudson, NY in 1981.

Linda loved doing embroidery, reading, listening to music, and watching QVC. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family.

Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Richard, three sons, David (Marion) Westerling of Rio Communities, NM, Stephen (Angela) Westerling of Nashville, TN, and George A Westerling of The Villages, FL, and one daughter, Karoline (Jason) Ryan of Niskayuna.

Linda was also a beloved grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Stephen Nagy.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Monday, October 20, 2025 at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Rt. 9, Valatie, NY. Friends are invited to Linda's visitation from 1-3PM, prior to the service.
