Sheila Usyk (Williams) 87 of Valatie, NY, passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2025 at home. Born on the Fourth of July in 1938, she was the daughter Edward (Diz) Williams and Jennie Youzwak.

She grew up on River Street in Valatie and attended Ichabod Crane school district. She married her late husband, Peter Usyk in 1955. Her strong ties with her family helped to shape her life around home.

During her working years, she was employed at Riley Mills until its closure and then was employed at Barnwell Nursing Home as an aide, then a unit secretary. She really enjoyed throwing parties at her house for family and friends on her birthday and always had a party on Christmas Day.

She is predeceased by her husband Peter Usyk. Lovingly, she is remembered by her sons Mark (Carol) Usyk of Valatie, Wayne Usyk of Hudson, and daughter Nancy (Ken) Heburn of St. Johns, FL.

Sheila has seven grandchildren Trisha Bradley, Justin Usyk, Zachary Usyk, Alexandra White, Kristine Heburn, Joseph Heburn and Kelsey Heburn, and two great granddaughters, Ava Bradley and Maddie White.

Her siblings predeceased are Jeannette Tator, Helen (Chink) Praga, Patricia Wheeler, Pauline Hamm and brother Edward (Archie) Williams.

Sheila is survived by her brother Eugene (Pipper) Williams and in-laws Harold (Jane) Usyk and Gloria (Cliff) Wexler with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited and may call from 11 - 12 PM, Thursday at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, NY with a graveside service immediately following at St. John's Cemetery, Valatie.
