Susan Leslie Campbell, 78, of Valatie, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on July 6, 2025, of natural causes.

Born on February 12, 1947, in Norwood, Massachusetts, Susan was the daughter of the late Hermon W. Fish and Louise M. (Manchester) Fish. She dedicated her life to education, earning a Bachelor's of Science from Lake Erie College and later a Master's degree in Education from the State University of Albany. Her career as a teacher and educator spanned more than 50 years, and she left a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues.

Susan's passion for learning was matched only by her love of community. She was an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma and a committed member of the Niverville Methodist Church. Her generous spirit extended to many causes close to her heart, including PBS, local ambulance and fire services, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and numerous other organizations that benefited from her quiet, consistent support.

She had an adventurous soul and a love of travel that took her all over the world. Whether she was people-watching from a café, reading a good book, or simply enjoying a heartfelt conversation, Susan had a way of making those around her feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. One of her greatest joys was vacationing in Pemaquid, Maine with her grandchildren, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.

Susan is survived by her children, Brent D. Campbell (Monica) of Guilderland, NY, and Stephanie L. Kosier (David); and her cherished grandchildren: Devin, Mattingly, Kristine, Lauren, Alexa, Joseph, and Danika. Susan was tenderly cared for in her final years by her former husband, Laddie, whose presence brought comfort and stability. She was predeceased by her sister, Louise Fox, and her beloved parents.

Funeral Services will be 10 AM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Niverville Chatham Center United Methodist Church, 28 Church Street, Niverville, NY 12130.

Susan's legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and deep love—for her students, her family, and the many lives she touched. She will be profoundly missed.
