Obituary of Kenneth James Jewell

Kenneth James Jewell died at home with his wife Daralene by his side on June 9, 2025. He was born on October 30,1953 in Melrose Park ,IL, the son of Donald and Ethel Jewell. A graduate of Marquette University, he retired from careers in finance in Colorado and real estate in the Albany Capital District. Ken loved photography, fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and his "doggies " Ken is survived by his precious grandchildren, Elise and Maya Brennan (Valatie NY), their parents, Michael and Jennifer Brennan (Valatie NY), his sisters Debra Mazanek (Libertyville IL), and Diane Halle (Phoenix AZ), nephews Joseph Mazanek (Ashley) of Chicago IL, Michael Zuieback (Sheila) of Phoenix AZ , his sister and brother in-laws Diane and Richard Gorash (Milton NY), his niece Danielle Holland, her children Logan and Arden Holland (Marlboro NY), and close friends Linda Collett and Frank McKinney (Ghent NY). With laughter and a smile his was "a life well lived". Private funeral services will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Rt. 9, Valatie, NY with interment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Valatie, NY. Donations in Ken's name may be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
