Anne Pitts, 83, of Valatie, NY, passed away on May 10th, 2025 in her home. She was born in Belfast, Ireland to Margaret and Thomas Maitland on November 27th, 1941 and graduated from Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, CA in 1959.

Anne was a hard worker all her life. Her last job before she retired was as a human resource manager for Hunter Mountain.

Anne had many interests through the years. She had a lifelong passion for writing. It had been her dream as a young woman to work as a writer or editor in some capacity. She enjoyed photography and had some beautiful landscape photos. You would find her behind the camera much more often than in front of it.

In her younger years she enjoyed collecting stamps, in fact she still has envelopes full of them! She enjoyed painting pottery. There are still multiple pieces found in her home that she painted.

She always encouraged her children to be independent but was always there to give support as needed. She was so proud of all of them.

She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. She has cherished memories of spending time with them. She created several scrapbooks of their trips together.

Anne is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Melissa and Mike Curley of Wilmington, MA; her two sons and daughter in-laws, Darryl and Kat Pitts of Boerne, TX and Derrick and Danny Pitts of Birchwood, TN; her grandchildren, Christy Pitts of Fort Worth, TX, Kevin Pitts of Rison, AR, Mary Seal of Athens, TX, Joshua Canarelli of Methuen, MA, Matthew Canarelli of Durham, NC and their spouses. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook St, Valatie, NY at 12pm on Saturday May 17th. Visitation will be from 11-12pm. Nick Becker of the Clearview Alliance Church will be officiating.
