Judy,
Your passing has left a giant hole in the hearts of all who loved you, but you left us with wonderful memories of laughter, kindness, warmth, optimism, cheer and mostly LOVE.
Your gifts were many and your time with us was full to the brim. We love you and miss you (Ed loved that you liked all of his jokes!!). We are sure Heaven will be livelier upon your arrival. Thanks for the memories. Until we meet again...
With Love, God Speed Kitty and Ed Witzel

I’ll forever know her as Mrs. Hotaling, my first grade teacher. 1st grade was a life-changing time in my life, when I suffered from meningitis and lost all my hearing. Mrs. Hotaling was such a support to me and my family through that difficult time, and remained close through the years. She was a teacher who cared and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed greatly, but her memory will live on in the lives of those she impacted. ❤️

Our beloved sister Judy was a force of nature. Those who knew her already know how thoughtful she was and eager to help her family and friends. Judy married the love of her life Jim and had three marvelous children Tom, Meg and Ted and very special grandchildren. She loved sharing stories about them. Teaching was a calling and she loved teaching children. We will all miss her quick wit and sense of humor and her larger than life personality. She always welcomed us with open arms to her home and life and we have countless wonderful stories from our youth to the present. We shared a most loving bond as siblings and confidantes and her passing leaves a hole in our heart. Judy adored our Mother and in my mind is in her loving embrace now.

Oh Judy I will miss you! You were a bright and shining light in my life for so many years. I will always remember our morning teas while sharon and Teddy played during that wonderful year we kept them out of school, our shopping trips with the 2 little ones in a cart eating jellybeans and our purchases in another.
Later there were the lunches you made when I came back to NYS for A visit. And our long Christmas letters. I wouldn’t have missed seeing you sweet friend. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around a world without you in it.
Jim, Tom, Meg and Teddy please know my thoughts are with you. She was an extraordinary woman and friend. I will carry thoughts of her for the rest of my life.
With love, Kathy Hart

Judy was an incredible teacher who helped our family thru a difficult year. Jaclyn was deafened due to meningitis at the age of six. Judy was a tremendous advocate for Jaclyn in our education choices for her. Her kindness, ,guidance and dedication will always remain in our hearts.
