Judith Ellen Hotaling, 82, of Valatie, passed away on May 10, 2025.

Judy was born in Rochester, New York to William and Dolores Tyler on February 24, 1943. She attended Monroe High School and graduated in 1961. Judy went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Brockport State. She taught elementary school in the Chatham and Ichabod Crane Central School Districts for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, walking, quilting, reading, and watching her grandchildren play sports.

Judy is survived by her husband, James, her children Thomas (Meghan) of Delmar, New York, Margaret of Kingwood, Texas, and Theodore (Keely) of Wallingford, Connecticut, her siblings Charles (Berit) of Lauderdale Beach, Florida, Jill Wright, Timothy (Carol) Tyler, Thomas (Mauvereen) Tyler, and Ferne (Frank) Fantauzzo, all of Rochester, New York, and her loving grandchildren, Grace, Katie, Ruth, Owen, and Susan.

A viewing will be held at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie on Thursday, May 15 from 4:00-6:00 pm, with the funeral to be held at 6:00 pm.
