Edward O'Dell Obituary

Edward O'Dell, 88, of Old Chatham, NY, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Chatham on December 6, 1936, he was the son of the late Enos and Emma (Williams) O'Dell and the husband of the late Christa O'Dell.



Edward served in the US Army and was and was honorably discharged. Before his retirement, he was a Foreman employed for the Fort Orange Paper Mill in Castleton, NY. For many years, he worked as a Groundsman for the Old Chatham Cemetery.



He is survived by his loving family including his daughter, Connie (Daniel) Jordan of Old Chatham; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.



Besides his wife and parents, he is also predeceased by 7 brothers and 2 sisters.



Friends are invited and may call from 10 - 12PM, Tuesday at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, NY. Ed's funeral will begin at 12 PM. Burial with military honors will follow in the Old Chatham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbia / Greene Community Hospice, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill, NY 12414.
